Pruning

Cyril Bondi, Raphaël Ortis and d'incise were invited to work together on a specific task: pruning an apple tree. A few months later, they were asked to recall the experience and answer questions about it. Finally, they were asked to perform a 30-minute piece on a prepared organ, with a few keys pressed down that had to be released to reduce the sound to a single note.
This piece is the result of recording and editing these three moments. It is built on their sonic and processual affinities. It also observes, through sound, the intuitive transformation of a work instruction into a musical direction through memory.

La taille

Cyril Bondi, Raphaël Ortis et d'incise ont été invités à travailler ensemble sur une tâche spécifique : la taille d'un pommier. Quelques mois plus tard, il leur a été demandé de se remémorer cette expérience et à répondre à quelques questions à ce sujet. Enfin, il leur a été demandé d'interpréter une pièce de 30 minutes sur un orgue préparé, avec quelques touches enfoncées qu'il fallait prendre le temps de relâcher pour réduire le son à une seule note.
Cette pièce est le résultat de l'enregistrement et du montage de ces trois moments. Elle est construite sur leurs affinités sonores et processuelles. Elle observe également, à travers le son, la transformation intuitive d'une consigne de travail en une direction musicale à travers la mémoire.
